MB Austin lives with her fabulous wife in Seattle, an excellent town for coffee-fueled writers who don’t need too much sun. Lately she finds herself often in her Delaware hometown, tending to her parents, the house they raised her in, and her mother’s garden.

MB ditched her law degree to do law-adjacent work as a Mild-Mannered Civil Servant by Day™. A recent offer she couldn’t refuse from DOGE freed her up to find new ways to address the existential crises facing our democracy and the planet.
